Should a patient who previously suffers from hypertension continue to take hypertension tablets when his blood?

His diastolic ranges from 70-62 most of the time lately. Should he continue to take his hypertension tablets? Isn’t it dangerous to take hypertension tablet when his diastolic is already low?
