FROGMAN asked:

I never had it before I was in the military and it hasn’t posed an issue until after my 12 year mark, But it is not considered a disabling condition. I have to take medication for the rest of my life. If not I could have a stroke and DIE ! So what is the reason its not a listed for service connected comp. I know it was stress related due to my job and position. Is there a venue to appeal these autorized conditions ?
It is treatable with lifelong medications that don’t work for long periods of time. The meds cause drowsiness and loss of sexual abilities. That alone is not treatable. I dont want the meds.
I didnt have it when I entered. My freind didnt have diabetes when she entered and its treatable as well, Yet she get 100% comp.

      Because it is treatable.

Because it could be caused by your age or several other things that aren’t service connected.

As you well know, all such determinations are based on the ratings in a large book…and that is just the way it is. If you disagree with the determination made by VA, you can appeal. BSing on this board will get you nothing, except for a little spleen venting. If you want to investigate further, go to the American Legion, give them limited power of attorney, and have them help you with the appeal.
